Step by step
- Pick a dance trend. Start with the trend you want to post. There are 7 on Dance Video AI: solo routines like Raindance, Gas Station Dance, Tecktonik, Rumpelstiltskin and Bby Wow Guy take one photo, while Smalltown Boy and Alors on danse take two photos for a side-by-side duo.
- Choose a sharp, front-facing photo. Use a clear, recent photo of one person (or one pet for Smalltown Boy) per slot, looking straight at the camera in even light. Your photo determines how strongly the dancer resembles you.
- Upload into the studio slots. Drop your photo into the uploader. For two-photo duos, the left slot is the left dancer and the right slot is the right dancer for the entire clip.
- Save your spot. Generation opens in small batches. Leave your email and we send your video link as soon as your spot opens; your photos are saved with the request.
- Wait for the email link. Usually ready in 7–12 minutes. You don't need to keep the tab open — we email you a private link as soon as your MP4 finishes rendering.
- Post with the trend sound on TikTok or Reels. Download the vertical 9:16 MP4, open TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts, tap "Add sound", and select the trend audio listed on your result page.
Pick your dance trend
- Smalltown Boy Dance AI — Two of you scream, swap places on the beat drop, then dance side by side. Two photos, 22 seconds.

- Gas Station Dance AI — Dawn forecourt squat dance, whip-pan selfie, and the coupe step-out on the drop. One photo, 15 seconds.
- Alors On Danse AI — All-white studio: one plays the mini keyboard, one lunges to the lens, then both bounce. Two photos, 10 seconds.
- Tecktonik Dance AI — Alone on a red-lit night courtyard stage, hitting the sharp arm-wrap routine while the crowd films. One photo, 14 seconds.
- Rumpelstiltskin Dance AI — Tiptoe into the straw barn in curled slippers, hush the lens, grin wide, and prance. One photo, 10 seconds.
- Bby Wow Guy Dance AI — Side-step through the party, take a bite of the pastry, lock eyes with the lens, and dance away. One photo, 9 seconds.
The photo that works
- One person (or one pet) per photo. Crop out anyone else rather than uploading a wide group shot.
- Face large in the frame, front-on and looking straight at the camera. A phone selfie or portrait mode shot works great.
- Bright, even lighting on the face. Avoid heavy club shadows, strong backlighting or harsh color casts.
- No sunglasses, masks, hands in front of the mouth, or heavy beauty filters.
- Use a current photo: hairstyle, glasses and facial structure carry directly into the dance.
- Only upload photos of yourself, friends who said yes, or your own pets. Never upload celebrities or public figures.
Posting it with the trend sound
- Download the vertical 9:16 MP4 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts; use the 16:9 widescreen copy for YouTube, X or group chats.
- Attach the trend song from TikTok or Instagram's built-in audio library so your video appears on the official sound page.
- Line the audio up at the timestamp shown on your result page (most trends start right on the chorus or at 0:00).
- Include the trend name in your caption or on-screen text (for example, "Raindance AI" or "Smalltown Boy dance") so viewers recognize the format immediately.
- If you made a two-person duo (Smalltown Boy or Alors on danse), tag the second person — duo posts get shared twice as fast.
- Turn on TikTok's AI-generated content toggle when publishing.
